Spring Showcase 2024

Spring Showcase features the Vail Valley Academy of Dance’s Youth Ballet Company. Audiences will be treated to performances of traditional ballet, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical and more as the dancers share styles of dance that speaks to each of them.

Some pieces include the entire company and small groups, while others are duets and solos. Each of the six graduating seniors perform a solo to choreography and music representing a personal story or message. In addition to student choreographed dances, there are a number of Spring Showcase pieces that have been set by guest choreographers Sarah Tallman, Jared Mesa and Clayton Cunningham. The production is under the direction of Artistic Director, Ms. Ashley Calligan, who also choreographed many of the pieces.
Spring Showcase is presented by Vail Friends of Dance, a non-profit committed to providing performance opportunities, financial aid and scholarships to dancers in the Vail Valley.
