Carbon over-loading in the atmosphere is real, it is excessive, it is unprecedented and it threatens our way of life across the globe.  Drawing down carbon levels requires urgent, effective and rational action by all communities now.  Our Eagle County community has understood the need to act at the local level with the establishment of the Climate Action Collaborative.  Through the guidance of the Climate Action Collaborative, the Eagle County community has reduced emissions, but it is time to expand and accelerate our climate action efforts. 

Dr. Robert Davies is a physicist and Associate Professor of Professional Practice at Utah State University.  His work on global environmental change and sustainable human systems has been recognized for more than a decade in critical science communications.  Dr. Davies has delivered hundreds of public lectures to civic organizations, policymakers, municipal boards and schools on the topics of climate change, human sustainability, and science communication.
