we need you to crew
Want to get experience on a live television production? We need volunteer community producers, just like you, to help crew our video coverage of the Vail America Days Parade on July 4. The theme of this year's parade honors the 10th Mountain Division, whose soldiers have sacrificed for our country, spawned many ski resorts across the country, and continue to serve our country today.
We're looking for up to five volunteers from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the following crew positions:
- 3 camera operators to capture compelling images of the parade
- 2 production assistants to coil cable, help camera operators, and conduct man-on-the-street interviews with the crowd
Coverage is live on local cable Channel 5 and streaming on the web at Live on Five, as well as over-the-top devices such as Apple TV and Roku. Video also will be available on demand following the event.
We'll hold a short production meeting for volunteers and crew on Thursday, June 27 at 5:15 p.m. Skype is available for those who are unable to attend physically.
If you're interested in participating, let us know by June 22 by emailing production and education coordinator Reece Carter at reece@highfivemedia.org.
