Game of the Week Fall 2024

Game of the Week is BACK! We’re looking for volunteers interested in production of live high school sports in the Vail Valley this fall. Hone your skills, explore the world of video, and get experience on a professional production. No experience necessary. These positions are learning opportunities designed to help you leave each shoot with increased confidence. Think of it as on-the-job training!

We're looking for people to join us for camera operations, social media posting, technical directing, and halftime reporting.

Community coverage will be available live on our YouTube Channel. The videos will be posted there after the game, and will also play on Channel 5/Live on Five. Follow our Instagram and Facebook Stories for exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage from game day.

Game of the Week includes multi-sport coverage of several local high schools, presented by Alpine Bank and Gallegos Corporation. Our coverage includes local volunteer talent behind the scenes. If you’re interested in getting involved as a volunteer community producer, email our Education Coordinator, Casey Russell, at casey@highfivemedia.org.

If you’re a current member and you’ve taken Camera Basics ...

1. Email our Education Coordinator, Casey Russell, at casey@highfivemedia.org. Please include what dates and what positions you’re interested in.

If you’re a new member or you need to take Camera Basics ...

1. Register for membership, if you’re a new member. You must also sign up for either the 2 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. virtual Orientation session on Sept. 25.

2. Log in to your account and register for Camera Basics, which is on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. at our Avon studio.

3. If you’re seeing this after the Orientation sessions have passed, or you’d like to volunteer before the Oct. 2 Camera Basics workshop, please email casey@highfivemedia.org. 

High Five Access Media's mission is to empower the local community, through media education and technology, to become civically engaged, express ideas, and advocate for causes. We are a nonprofit, noncommercial community access media center located in Avon, Colorado. We serve Eagle County by providing video production education, access to professional equipment, and distribution of programming on local cable television on Comcast Channel 5, and across internet and social media platforms. In addition, we provide coverage of government proceedings, nonprofits, and community events.
